Hi everyone,

I'm selling a Focus 84 Braille display, as in the model that precedes the Focus 80. It's in good condition but way too big for my needs; meant as a desktop display and great for programmers. . It's several years old but works very well, except that the lower dots in a couple of the middle cells don't show up. I haven't found this to unduly interfere with my reading, though. It comes with a USB cable, a keyboard accessory for mounting the display or a laptop, and a homemade quilted case with a Velcro shoulder strap. The keyboard accessory is adequate but can't be used as a handle. You can find the manual on-line.

Here's what Rehab Mart says about the display: "Includes easy-to-remember Braille commands for Windows, JAWS for Windows and Braille settings. Used with the JAWS screen reader, the refreshable Braille cells act as a tactile monitor that allow users to navigate and read information in dynamic Braille. Sleek, portable and adjustable, Focus provides unparalleled accuracy, navigation and customization. Unidirectional advance bars and Whiz Wheels for superb navigation. Rapid Reading mode configures the display to 20 cells for faster reading with minimal hand movement. All buttons are individually configurable, allowing the user to set up hot keys for each application. Navigation controls are on the display, allowing you to navigate without the computer's keyboard. Serial connection for use in the Windows Professional environment. Two USB ports; connect to the right or left side of the unit. Ergonomically designed to be positioned close to the keyboard...Two audio inputs and one audio output for simultaneous connection to a computer and a telephone. Braille dots can be adjusted for intensity with the VariBraille feature. Lightweight, attractive aluminum casing."

I'm selling it for a small fraction of its original retail price and would be glad to negotiate. I just want to give it a good home and stop it from taking up so much space in my family's basement. Please reply or pm me if interested. I'll accept PayPal or check.

Thanks,
Jessie
